MLB The Show 22 will be officially released on all platforms tonight and a new update to the game recently went live to fix a number of bugs for launch day.

Players who purchased the MVP Edition of the game have been playing online since Friday, April 1 when the early access period began and have presumably helped San Diego Studio chase down some of the bugs in the update.

MLB The Show 22 – Game Update 2 is tonight at 4 AM PT. Notes are here: https://t.co/a6xNABMIag
This update will not require a server restart. Thank you.

One of the more game-breaking bugs that affected Xbox players where they would disconnect from a game if their controller disconnected has been fixed, which is obviously a huge solution, considering the baseball sim will be available as a day one title on Game Pass.

Other fixes include some bugs in the UI, general gameplay fixes, and some adjustments to the new co-op mode. In co-op, two or three friends can team up to take control of a team and face off against two or three others online.

The Show is making its debut on the Nintendo Switch this year, marking the first time the series has been available on all three major platforms. Now with crossplay and even cross-progression, fans can enjoy Sony’s baseball franchise no matter how they play.
