League of Legends has 160 champions, each with their own role and unique set of abilities. But while every champ is viable in one way or another in Summoner’s Rift, some, depending on the patch and meta, stand out above the others.
From the top lane to support, we delved into the champions with the highest win rates for every role in League’s Patch 12.11. The data provided can be found on League stats site u.gg, a comprehensive look at every champion, their win rate, and role.
For this article we specifically looked at Platinum and above in ranked Summoner’s Rift, representing the top proportion of players from every region.
Top lane: Zac
Zac is the king of the top lane in Patch 12.11, despite typically preferring to roam the jungle. The champion has a 53.92 percent win rate and a 4.5 ban rate, edging out Tahm Kench (53.35 percent), Warwick 53.34 percent), and Singed (52.90. percent).
Jungle: Volibear
Volibear has the highest win rate in the jungle by the slimmest of margins. At 53.51 percent with a 7.3 percent ban rate in Patch 12.11, according to u.gg, the Relentless Storm has surpassed Rek’Sai (53.23 percent), Rammus (52.59 percent), and Skarner (52.41 percent).
Mid lane: Singed
Singed, of all champions, has a ludicrous 55.49 percent win rate. The traditional top lane champion has shot up the solo queue standings in recent patches, beating champions including Rumble (53.45 percent), Pantheon (52.97 percent), and Aurelion Sol (52.92 percent). In total this patch, Singed has been picked over 12,000 times in Platinum and above.
Bot lane: Tahm Kench
Tahm Kench prevails in the bot lane with a 56.84 percent win rate. The typically supportive champion beats out the likes of Seraphine (52.56 percent), Veigar (51.86 percent), and Twitch (51.65 percent). As for traditional ADCs, Jhin (51.65 percent) and Ashe (51.91 percent) top the tables.
Support: Janna
Janna reigns supreme in Patch 12.11. With a 54.26 percent win rate, the champion is currently the best of the best in the support position, according to the stats. Taric and Renata Glasc sit behind her with 52.70 percent and 52.43 percent win rates, respectively.
